Road Map / how to come:
Pass through Fortaleza on the CE 040 highway out of town. After approx. 8 km you have to turn to the left on the CE 025 directions Aquiraz. After 14 km in Aquiraz turn to the left and keep on going for 6 km to Prainha. Follow the river until you arrive at the beach.
In direct vicinity of Prainha the Rio Catu forms a shallow flat water lagoon directly at the beach. The drain into the Atlantic is usually blocked through to the slight current and course of the river. The eastern part of the lagoon is limited by the beach and dunes whilst there is the village in the western part. The wind blows from south to south east and is rather constant.
