Road Map / how to come:

pass Fortaleza and go on the CE 040 highway heading to the south east. After approx. 8 km you turn on the street CE 025 direction Aquiraz. Follow the Highway approx. 14 km to Aquiraz stay on the CE 040 until you reach Cascavel after 34 km. Keep on driving on the CE 040 to Beberibe pass Sucatinga and turn left to Uruau. The lagoon is located westerly of the village between dunes and can only be reached by an off-road or buggy.

The freshwater lagoon is located 1 km away from the beach of Uruau on the countryside. The bank in the south is tree-covered (bosky) and the north side of the lagoon is partly surrounded by dunes. Between the dunes you will find two Barrachas, where you can take a rest for snacks and drinks. There are also jet skis and boats offered for rental. That is also the best starting place as a big part of the area is covered with private owned properties. The Wind in front of the dunes is very inconstantly, but if you move towards lee the wind is becoming more and more constant
